Kewal Singh Pathania Visits Durbeshwar Temple, Announces Dal Lake Renovation & Daily Maha Aarti

Dharamshala: Himachal Pradesh Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania visited the revered Shri Durbeshwar Mahadev Temple on Thursday, where he offered prayers and sought blessings for the peace, prosperity, and well-being of the people of the state.

During his visit, Pathania announced that a daily Maha Aarti will be organized at Dal Lake Dharamshala starting from June 1. He expressed confidence that the lake will soon regain its earlier charm with visible water levels after restoration efforts.

He also prayed for the state’s protection from natural disasters and strength to serve the public with dedication and sincerity.

Highlighting development plans, Pathania stated that the Dal Lake will undergo renovation and beautification to enhance its religious and tourist significance. He added that the state government is committed to preserving and promoting cultural and religious heritage, while ensuring better facilities for devotees and modernizing temple management systems.

Pathania expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu for approving ₹1 crore for the restoration of Dal Lake.

After the announcement, he revisited the temple premises to offer prayers and seek blessings.

Several officials, including SDM Mohit Ratna, Executive Engineer Vikas Thakur, Tehsildar Giriraj, BDO Abhinit Katyan, Assistant Engineer Pankaj Chaudhary, Junior Engineer Arun Kumar, and members of the temple committee, along with local residents, were present on the occasion.
