ATC Shahpur, in collaboration with Government Industrial Training Institute (ITI) Shahpur, organized an awareness rally and workshop on water conservation to educate students and the general public about the importance of saving water and its sustainable use.
The primary objective of the programme was to spread awareness about water conservation, responsible usage, and measures necessary to preserve water resources for future generations.
On the occasion, students and teachers of ITI Shahpur conducted a grand awareness rally up to Shahpur market. During the rally, participants raised slogans such as “Jal Hai To Kal Hai” (Water Secures the Future) and “Save Water, Save Life,” encouraging local residents to adopt water-saving practices.
The rally emphasized that the judicious use of water has become one of the most urgent needs of the present time.
Following the rally, students and faculty gathered at the ATC Shahpur campus, where Scientific Officer Dr. Sunanda Pathania shared her insights on water conservation. She engaged students in a detailed discussion, explaining how small lifestyle changes can significantly contribute to saving water.
Dr. Pathania stated that water is the foundation of life, and protecting it from pollution while conserving it is a collective responsibility of society.
During the programme, students were also shown an informative documentary highlighting water conservation and efficient water usage practices.
At the conclusion of the event, ATC staff, ITI teachers, and students collectively took a pledge to prevent water wastage in their daily lives and to spread awareness among others.
The awareness campaign witnessed active participation from the entire staff and students of ITI Shahpur and ATC Shahpur.
