Bengaluru (Kameshwar Sharma): Vikramaditya Singh Studies Bengaluru Smart City Model during his visit to Bengaluru, where the Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister reviewed major urban infrastructure and smart city projects with senior officials of the Greater Bengaluru Authority and Smart City departments. The visit focused on adopting successful urban development models for Himachal Pradesh.
Himachal to Study Karnataka’s Urban Development Model
Vikramaditya Singh praised the Karnataka government for its work in the urban development sector. According to him, Bengaluru has implemented several effective systems that can inspire future projects in Himachal Pradesh.
Furthermore, he announced that a delegation from Himachal Pradesh will soon visit Karnataka to study these urban development models in detail.
The delegation will include officials from the Urban Development Department, Municipal Corporations, and Smart City projects. As a result, the state government plans to adopt suitable infrastructure ideas and successful planning models in Himachal Pradesh.

Focus on Smart Infrastructure and Urban Planning
The minister emphasized the importance of improving urban infrastructure and city planning in hill states. He stated that the government wants to strengthen sustainable urban growth through modern development strategies.

In addition, the minister said the state government will make all possible efforts to secure approvals for projects under the Urban Challenge Fund from the central government.
