Timing of Beating Retreat Ceremony Changed at Attari-Wagah Border

Attari-Wagah Beating Retreat Timing Revised

The timing of the popular Beating Retreat ceremony held at the Attari-Wagah border in Amritsar has been revised. The Border Security Force (BSF) has issued a new schedule for the daily event, which attracts a large number of visitors and tourists.

According to the revised arrangement, the ceremony will now begin at 5:30 PM and continue until 6:00 PM. Earlier, the program used to start at 5:00 PM and concluded around 5:30 PM.

Officials stated that the decision was taken keeping in view the changing daylight hours and prevailing weather conditions. The revised timing also aims to enhance the overall visitor experience while ensuring smoother security management during the ceremony.

The new schedule has come into effect from April 1. BSF authorities have requested tourists and local residents planning to attend the ceremony to arrive strictly according to the updated timing to maintain proper arrangements and crowd management.

The Beating Retreat ceremony at the Attari-Wagah border remains one of Punjab’s most popular tourist attractions, symbolizing patriotic spirit and coordinated military traditions between India and Pakistan.
