Theog Police Arrest Man with 8.34g Heroin

In a continued crackdown on illegal drug trade, police in Theog have arrested an accused with 8.340 grams of heroin (commonly known as chitta), marking another significant success in the fight against narcotics in Shimla district.

The case has been registered under FIR No. 48/2026 dated April 12 under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.

Accused Identified

The arrested accused has been identified as Kuldeep Verma, son of Narayan Singh, a resident of Naleha village in Theog, Shimla district.

Police Action

According to police, on April 12, 2026, Theog Police received reliable information that a person was sitting in a Swift Dzire car parked near Theog and was involved in the illegal sale and purchase of heroin.

Acting swiftly, the police team reached the spot and conducted a search of the vehicle in the presence of independent witnesses.

Recovery and Arrest

During the search, 8.340 grams of heroin was recovered from the possession of the accused. He was immediately taken into custody, and a case was registered at Theog Police Station.

Investigation Ongoing

The accused was produced before the court, which remanded him to police custody until April 16, 2026.

Police are conducting a detailed investigation to uncover the entire network and identify other individuals involved in the drug trafficking chain.
