Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): In a major breakthrough under its ongoing anti-narcotics drive, the Shimla Police has successfully exposed a Drug Web Cracked Open, dismantling an organized supply chain operating across multiple regions of Himachal Pradesh and nearby areas.
The police conducted coordinated operations in Rampur and New Shimla, leading to the arrest of six accused and recovery of 203 grams of heroin (chitta).
Rampur Operation Exposes Initial Drug Supply Link
Acting on a secret tip-off, the Detection Cell team set up a checkpoint on NH-05 at Bhaira Khand Road on June 23.
During the checking, police stopped a vehicle and recovered 25 grams of chitta from three occupants identified as Anil Ribalta, Prashant Mehta, and Tejasvi.
As a result, police registered a case under the NDPS Act and launched a deeper investigation into the supply chain.
Technical Investigation Breaks Open Full Network
During further Drug Web Cracked Open investigation, police used technical evidence including mobile data, CDR analysis, and financial transaction records.
Moreover, the probe revealed that the accused had transferred ₹11,000 to Navdeep Mehta alias Piyush to purchase drugs.
Navdeep allegedly sourced the consignment through Sachin Gaur, exposing a multi-layered supply chain.
Subsequently, police arrested both Navdeep Mehta and main supplier Sachin Gaur from Zirakpur.
New Shimla Case Uncovers Hostel-Based Supply Module
In another case on June 20, the Special Cell raided a homestay in Kanlog, New Shimla.
Police recovered 16 grams of chitta from a room occupied by Punjab resident Gopal Kumar.
Furthermore, investigation led police to Mohali, where they arrested Gurvachan alias Guru.
During his arrest, police recovered an additional 162 grams of chitta from his possession.
Organized Drug Network Operating Across Regions
Police investigations revealed that Gurvachan was part of a structured drug trafficking network.
He allegedly stored large quantities of drugs in rented flats and supplied them based on demand across Shimla regions.
In addition, the network operated with coordinated movement and location-based distribution patterns.

Officials confirmed that the investigation did not stop at seizures alone.
Instead, police used scientific and technical analysis to identify the complete supply chain and associated suspects.
