Two of Indian cinema’s biggest superstars may soon share screen space, creating massive excitement among movie fans across the country. Reports suggest that Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan could appear together in Jailer 2, the sequel to the 2023 blockbuster film.
Directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, Jailer 2 is currently under production and has already generated strong buzz among audiences and industry insiders. If confirmed, the collaboration would mark the first-ever on-screen appearance of Rajinikanth and Shah Rukh Khan together, making it one of the most anticipated cinematic moments in recent years.
According to industry reports, the two superstars are expected to feature in a high-intensity action sequence. The scene is reportedly being planned on a grand scale and may be shot inside a large factory setup in Chandigarh. Although the makers have not officially confirmed the news, speculation around the collaboration has already gone viral on social media.
The film is produced by Kalanithi Maran under the Sun Pictures banner. The technical team includes music composer Anirudh Ravichander, cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, and editor R. Nirmal, all of whom were part of the original Jailer film.
Principal photography for Jailer 2 began in March in Chennai, with filming currently underway across multiple locations. The film is tentatively scheduled for a Summer 2026 theatrical release.
