Kullu (Kameshwar Sharma): The Kullu Drug Bust has dealt another blow to drug traffickers in Himachal Pradesh. During a special anti-narcotics drive, Kullu Police seized 211 grams of charas, 11 grams of hash oil, and 3 grams of heroin (chitta). Police made the recoveries in two separate cases.
Meanwhile, officers registered both cases under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. They also launched a detailed investigation to trace the drug supply network.
Police recover charas and hash oil near Jari
In the first Kullu Drug Bust case, a team from Jari Police Post stopped a suspicious man at Dunkhra Chowk. The team was conducting routine checking in the area.
During the search, officers recovered 211 grams of charas and 11 grams of hash oil. Later, police identified the accused as a 25-year-old resident of Hazratganj, Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh.
Subsequently, officers registered a case under Section 20 of the NDPS Act. They also took the accused into custody for further questioning.
Two suspects caught with heroin in Bhuntar
In another operation, a team from Bhuntar Police Station detained two suspicious individuals during routine patrol near Gadsa Bridge, Bajaura.
Furthermore, police recovered 3 grams of heroin (chitta) from their possession. Following the seizure, officers registered a case under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act against both accused.
Police probe drug supply network
According to the police, investigators are tracing the source of the seized narcotics and identifying the people involved in the illegal drug supply chain.
Additionally, officers are examining possible links with larger drug trafficking networks operating in and outside Himachal Pradesh. The investigation also aims to identify suppliers, distributors, and other associates connected to the racket.

The Kullu Drug Bust reflects the district police’s continued crackdown on narcotics trafficking.
Meanwhile, investigators are collecting evidence and questioning the accused to uncover the entire network. Finally, police said they will take strict legal action against everyone found involved in the illegal drug trade under the provisions of the NDPS Act.
