Amritsar (Dawarka Nath Rana): Amritsar will host the Grand Shiv Devotional Event, a major religious and cultural gathering, on June 27, 2026. Sanatan Seva Samiti Punjab and the Punjab Government’s Tourism and Cultural Affairs Department are jointly organizing the program at Pytex Ground, Ranjit Avenue.

To ensure the successful execution of the event, Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh chaired an important meeting with district officials on Wednesday. During the meeting, authorities reviewed preparations and discussed arrangements for the expected gathering.

Hansraj Raghuwanshi to Perform Shiv Bhajans

The highlight of Grand Shiv Devotional Event will be a live devotional performance by renowned bhajan singer Hansraj Raghuwanshi. The event will begin at 6:30 PM at Pytex Ground, Ranjit Avenue.

Thousands of devotees are expected to attend the program. Therefore, organizers and district authorities have intensified preparations to ensure a smooth and memorable experience for visitors.

Moreover, the event aims to create a spiritual atmosphere through devotional music dedicated to Lord Shiva.

Administration Reviews Event Preparations

During the review meeting, Deputy Commissioner Dalwinderjit Singh directed officials from various departments to complete all assigned responsibilities on time.

Mazha Zone In-Charge Pranav Dhawan shared details regarding preparations and expected attendance. According to him, organizers anticipate participation from a large number of devotees from Amritsar and nearby districts.

Additionally, he announced that entry to the event will remain completely free for all visitors. As a result, organizers expect strong public participation.

Furthermore, volunteers and support teams will remain available throughout the event to assist attendees and ensure smooth arrangements.

Senior Officials Attend Review Meeting

Several senior officials participated in the preparation meeting. Those present included Additional Deputy Commissioner (General) Pallavi Mishra, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Surinder Singh, DCP Vijay Alam, SDM Amritsar-I Alka Kalia, SDM Amritsar-II Gurminder Singh, and Tourist Officer Sukhminder Singh.

Representatives of Sanatan Seva Samiti Punjab also attended the meeting and reviewed organizational plans.
