Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu spent time with locals and tourists during an evening visit to Shimla’s iconic Mall Road on Wednesday, interacting with the public and reviewing ongoing infrastructure development works.
During the visit, several residents and tourists stopped to interact with the Chief Minister, while many also clicked selfies with him, reflecting a direct public connect during the informal tour.
CM Sukhu also inspected the ongoing utility ducts construction work on Mall Road and issued necessary directions to officials to ensure timely completion and adherence to quality standards. The inspection aimed at monitoring progress and maintaining efficiency in the execution of the project.
According to officials, Mall Road is one of Shimla’s busiest and most prominent public spaces, making infrastructure development and maintenance in the area a priority for the state government. The Chief Minister’s on-ground inspection is being viewed as an effort to personally oversee urban infrastructure improvements.
The visit focused on strengthening public engagement while reviewing civic development projects to enhance facilities for both residents and tourists in the state capital.
