For the Odisha Rajya Sabha by-election 2026, BJP selected Debashish Samantaray as its candidate.

This move strengthens the party’s presence in eastern India. It also shows a focused effort to secure influence in upcoming political adjustments.

Election Schedule Announced

The Election Commission released the schedule along with the BJP Rajya Sabha list 2026. Candidates can submit nominations until June 8. Officials will scrutinize papers on June 9. Candidates can withdraw nominations until June 11.

Finally, voters will elect Rajya Sabha members on June 18.
