Nahan (Kameshwar Sharma): The political atmosphere has intensified ahead of the Nahan Election, as the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its “Hamara Sankalp” vision document in Nahan. The announcement came during a press conference led by Himachal Pradesh BJP president Rajiv Bindal.
The party strongly targeted the Congress government, accusing it of halting development projects in Nahan and failing to fulfill public promises.
BJP Targets Congress Over Development Issues
During the announcement of the Nahan Election BJP Development Plan, Dr. Rajiv Bindal said that the Congress government has not started any new development work in the past three and a half years.
He alleged that the government has misled citizens with false guarantees instead of delivering real development. Moreover, he claimed that key infrastructure projects remain incomplete or abandoned.
Major Promises Under BJP Development Plan
Under the new Nahan Election BJP Development Plan, the BJP promised large-scale infrastructure upgrades across the city. These include:
- Parking facilities in every municipal ward
- 24×7 clean drinking water supply
- Parks in all wards of the city
- Modern marriage halls and community centers
In addition, BJP announced plans to improve urban infrastructure and provide better civic facilities for residents.
Redevelopment of Key City Areas
The party also proposed major redevelopment projects. According to the plan, the old Foundry Quarters area in Amarpur Mohalla will be transformed.
It will include multi-level parking, a public park, and a community building. Furthermore, a large parking facility will be built for wards 4, 5, and 6.
As a result, the Nahan Election BJP Development Plan aims to address traffic congestion and urban space issues.
Completion of Pending Projects
BJP leaders said that several stalled projects will be restarted if the party comes to power. These include sewerage system upgrades and beautification of key tourist locations such as Kalisthan pond, Rani Talab, Ramkund, and Villa Round.
In addition, the party promised smoke-free transport systems and better connectivity through new alternative roads.
Healthcare and Education Expansion
The BJP also promised major improvements in healthcare under its Nahan Election BJP Development Plan. The party said it will complete a 500-bed hospital project and recruit 1,000 doctors and paramedical staff.
Moreover, BJP assured better healthcare infrastructure and improved public services in the region.
Strong Attack on Congress Government
Dr. Rajiv Bindal criticized the Congress government for allegedly shutting down 21 schools, patwar offices, health centers, and veterinary hospitals in the constituency.
He also questioned the non-implementation of financial promises made to women under welfare schemes. According to him, thousands of beneficiaries are still waiting for payments.
Furthermore, he claimed that Congress has not launched any new park, school, hospital, or parking project in Nahan.
BJP Highlights Past Achievements
Bindal said BJP has a strong track record in Nahan development. He highlighted projects like Giri river water supply, multiple parks, and major administrative buildings including SP office, Vigilance office, and bus stand parking.
He also credited BJP for improving civic infrastructure during its previous tenure.
Political Heat Rises Ahead of Elections
