Bhagwant Mann Agrees to Forensic Probe Over Viral Video Row

Amritsar (Rajesh Sandhu): Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann agreed to a forensic investigation into an alleged objectionable video after discussions at Sri Akal Takht Sahib. The development came during his appearance regarding various issues under consideration at the highest temporal seat of Sikhs. The Bhagwant Mann Agrees to Forensic Probe gained attention after the Chief Minister described the alleged video as “completely fake.” He maintained that modern artificial intelligence technology can create misleading content. Furthermore, he said several public figures have faced similar AI-generated videos.

Mann Terms Video Fake

Speaking on the issue, Bhagwant Mann asserted that the video was fabricated. Moreover, he said he supports a detailed forensic examination to establish the truth.

The Chief Minister stated that he could provide details of forensic laboratories for the investigation. In addition, he remarked that advancements in artificial intelligence have made it easier to create manipulated videos.

According to Mann, even without forensic analysis, certain aspects of the video raise questions. However, he reiterated that scientific examination should determine the facts.

Akal Takht Seeks Scientific Verification

Jathedar Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj asked the Punjab government to identify two forensic laboratories for examining the video. He emphasized that the matter concerns the dignity of Sikh Gurus and requires careful handling.

At the same time, the Jathedar said no one should indulge in character assassination if the video turns out to be false. Therefore, he stressed that only a forensic investigation can establish whether the video is genuine or fabricated.

Chief Minister Accepts Proposal

Bhagwant Mann accepted the proposal and assured the Jathedar that authorities could conduct the examination under his supervision. He also expressed readiness to cooperate with any laboratory chosen for the process.

Later, the Jathedar asked whether the government had already conducted a forensic examination. In response, the Chief Minister referred to a court order and claimed that it had already questioned the authenticity of the video.

However, Giani Kuldeep Singh Gargaj clarified that he had studied the court order. According to him, the court had not ordered any forensic examination of the video.

Akal Takht to Conduct Separate Investigation

The Bhagwant Mann Agrees to Forensic Probe took another turn when the Jathedar announced that Sri Akal Takht Sahib would also arrange separate examinations through two independent forensic laboratories.

Meanwhile, he asked the Punjab government to conduct examinations through two additional laboratories. He said this process would ensure transparency and credibility.

Furthermore, he added that if the video proves false, the findings will clear the controversy. However, if the investigation confirms the video’s authenticity, the Khalsa Panth will decide the next course of action.

Truth to Emerge Through Scientific Examination

The Bhagwant Mann Agrees to Forensic Probe has now moved toward scientific verification. Both the Punjab government and Sri Akal Takht Sahib have shown willingness to pursue forensic analysis.

As a result, the investigation aims to determine the authenticity of the alleged video and bring clarity to the controversy. Consequently, all eyes remain on the outcome of the forensic examinations.
