Baddi (Kameshwar Sharma): In a major success under the ongoing anti-drug campaign in the BBN (Baddi–Barotiwala–Nalagarh) region, Baddi Police recovered a significant quantity of cannabis (ganja) and arrested two accused persons during a raid conducted on Thursday.
Acting on a secret tip-off, the police team carried out a raid in a rented room located in Ward No. 5 of the Judi Khurd area. During the search operation, a total of 3.940 kilograms of ganja was recovered from the premises.
Following the recovery, both suspects present at the spot were immediately taken into custody.
The accused have been identified as Vishal Kumar, son of Sheoraj Singh, resident of Sambhal district (Uttar Pradesh), aged 22 years, and Piyush Kumar, son of Ramesh Chand, resident of Uttar Pradesh, aged 26 years.
Superintendent of Police Vinod Dhiman confirmed that a case has been registered against both accused at Police Station Baddi under the NDPS Act, and further legal proceedings are underway.
Police officials stated that further investigation is being conducted to identify possible links and networks connected to the drug supply chain in the region.
