Shaheed Bhagat Singh College of Education, Kairon Patti, celebrated April Cool Day with a tree plantation drive aimed at promoting environmental conservation and awareness among students.
The event was organized under the leadership of College Chairman Dr. Rajesh Bhardwaj, Managing Director Dr. Mridula Bhardwaj, Director Satyam Bhardwaj, and Principal Dr. Sarita Narad. Students and staff members actively participated in the programme.
During the event, members of the college’s Eco Club and NSS Unit planted saplings across the campus to spread the message of environmental protection. Students from the B.Ed. and D.El.Ed. classes also planted evergreen flowering plants, emphasizing the importance of greenery and sustainable living.
The primary objective of the initiative was to create awareness among students about the importance of protecting the natural environment and its vital role in human life.
Addressing the students, Principal Dr. Sarita Narad encouraged them to plant more trees and actively contribute towards preserving nature and maintaining ecological balance.
The programme concluded with a collective pledge by students and faculty members to continue working towards environmental conservation and a greener future.
