AAP Removes Raghav Chadha as Rajya Sabha Deputy Leader, Ashok Mittal Appointed

AAP Replaces Raghav Chadha With Ashok Mittal in Rajya Sabha

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has removed Raghav Chadha from the post of Deputy Leader of the party in the Rajya Sabha and appointed Ashok Mittal as his replacement. Raghav Chadha currently serves as a Rajya Sabha Member of Parliament from Punjab.

Senior party leaders confirmed that an official letter regarding Chadha’s removal has been sent to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat. Party leader Sanjay Singh informed reporters that the Secretariat has been formally notified about the decision taken by the party leadership.

However, AAP dismissed reports claiming that Raghav Chadha would not be allowed speaking time under the party’s allocated quota in the Upper House.

Meanwhile, Raghav Chadha issued his first reaction to the development through a social media post. In a cryptic message, he stated, “My message to the common man — do not consider my silence as defeat; I am a river that turns into a flood when the time comes.”

The political move has triggered discussions within political circles, with observers closely watching its implications for the party’s internal dynamics and parliamentary strategy.
