Amit Shah Launches Strong Attack on TMC at Birbhum Rally Ahead of Bengal Elections

Amit Shah Targets TMC in Bengal Election Rally

Birbhum (West Bengal): Intensifying the campaign for the final phase of the 2026 West Bengal Assembly elections, Union Home Minister Amit Shah launched a sharp attack on the Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress (TMC) during a massive public rally in Birbhum.

Shah accused the state government of being mired in corruption, alleging the dominance of “syndicate raj” and “cut money” practices across administrative and commercial systems in the state.

Strong Attack on TMC Government

Addressing the rally, Shah said that people of Bengal were now determined to remove the existing government, which he alleged was responsible for widespread corruption in government schemes, recruitment processes, transfers, and even sand and coal trade.

He further claimed that the system is being controlled by political leadership, including close associates of the ruling party.

BJP’s Promises After 4 May

Shah stated that if the BJP forms the government after the counting of votes on May 4, the party will work to dismantle the “syndicate and commission system” in the state from May 5 onwards.

He also promised that there would be zero tolerance for political violence and that peace and security would be restored across West Bengal.

Policy Announcements and UCC Mention

The Home Minister also reiterated that the BJP would implement the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state if voted to power. He added that strict action would be taken against illegal practices and corruption networks.

High-Intensity Election Campaign

The BJP campaign in West Bengal has gained momentum, with Prime Minister Narendra Modi holding multiple rallies in the state. Shah’s visit further signals the party’s aggressive push against the 15-year rule of the TMC government.

The BJP has described the election as a “battle for transformation and freedom” in West Bengal, rather than just a political contest.
