Ahead of the upcoming Tamil Nadu Assembly elections, the Congress party is facing internal dissent as state election management and coordination committee chairman Manickam Tagore offered his resignation to the party president. Sources indicate that Tagore is unhappy with the party’s seat allocation strategy in the state.
Tagore alleged that Congress was deliberately assigned weaker assembly constituencies in Tamil Nadu, a move that could negatively affect the party’s electoral performance.
