Final prayers and the bhog ceremony in memory of late Advocate Ramesh Raj Bhandari, a resident of Amritsar, were held today at Gurdwara Guru Nanak Parkash in Ranjit Avenue, where family members, political leaders, administrative officials, and members of civil society gathered to pay their respects.
The departed Advocate Ramesh Raj Bhandari was the father of senior IAS officer Rahul Bhandari and father-in-law of senior IAS officer Rakhi Gupta Bhandari.
Punjab Legislative Assembly Speaker Kulatar Singh Sandhwan attended the ceremony and offered prayers for eternal peace of the departed soul. He also prayed for strength and courage for the bereaved family to bear the loss.
Speaking on the occasion, Sandhwan described Advocate Bhandari as a noble personality whose contributions to society would always be remembered. He expressed deep condolences to Rahul Bhandari and Rakhi Gupta Bhandari, sharing the grief of the family during this difficult time.
Several prominent personalities attended the ceremony, including Punjabi Jagran Editor-in-Chief Varinder Singh Walia, Uttam Hindu Editor Ritan Khanna, Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rural Development) Paramjit Kaur, and SDM Amritsar-2 Gurmandar Singh.
Leaders from various political parties, representatives of social and religious organizations, administrative officers, friends, and relatives also paid floral tributes and extended their sympathies to the Bhandari family.
The ceremony concluded with collective prayers and remembrance of the life and legacy of the late advocate.
