Kejriwal to Campaign for TMC in West Bengal Polls

Kolkata/New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal will campaign in West Bengal on April 26 and 27 to seek public support for the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) in the ongoing Assembly elections.

According to AAP sources, Kejriwal will visit the state at the invitation of West Bengal Chief Minister and TMC supremo Mamata Banerjee. During his visit, he will appeal for public support for the TMC as part of its election campaign.

Party insiders indicated that the former Delhi Chief Minister may participate in public rallies and outreach programs during the second phase of campaigning for the Trinamool Congress.

Earlier on Wednesday, Kejriwal confirmed that he had a phone conversation with Mamata Banerjee, expressing his full solidarity and support. In a post on social media platform X, he stated that Banerjee is fighting one of the most crucial battles for Indian democracy.

The first phase of polling for the 294-member West Bengal Assembly concluded on Thursday, covering 152 constituencies. The remaining seats will go to polls on April 29, while the counting of votes is scheduled for May 4.
