Kumarsain (Kameshwar Sharma): Vikramaditya Singh Kumarsain development initiatives took center stage as Himachal Pradesh Public Works and Urban Development Minister Vikramaditya Singh attended a public thanksgiving ceremony at the historic Darbar Ground. Local MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore joined the event as the guest of honour. A large gathering welcomed the minister and expressed support for the state government’s development initiatives.
During his address, Vikramaditya Singh thanked the people for their trust, affection, and continued support. He also congratulated the newly elected Panchayat representatives and urged them to work closely with the government. According to the minister, local Panchayats play a vital role in ensuring that welfare schemes reach every household.
Government Focuses on Transparent Development
Vikramaditya Singh said the Himachal Pradesh government remains committed to public welfare, good governance, and balanced development. Moreover, he said the government’s priority is to deliver development benefits to every citizen in a transparent and timely manner.
He added that public participation is essential for successful development. Therefore, the government continues to encourage cooperation between local communities and administrative departments.
Road Projects Worth Over ₹41 Crore Underway
The minister highlighted several important infrastructure projects in the Kumarsain region. Currently, construction work on the Narkanda–Doja–Bhadawali Road, worth nearly ₹6.70 crore, has reached around 70% completion. Once completed, the road will improve connectivity for local residents.
In addition, the Kathal Nala–Koti Nala Link Road is undergoing upgradation at an estimated cost of ₹16 crore. Work is also progressing on the OD–Kotgarh–Beethal Road, where the government is investing around ₹19 crore.
These projects aim to strengthen transport infrastructure and improve access to remote villages across the region.
Eight New Roads Approved Under PMGSY-4
Furthermore, Vikramaditya Singh announced that eight link roads have received approval under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY)-4.
He requested local residents to provide land through gift deeds so construction can begin without unnecessary delays. According to him, public cooperation will help complete these projects on schedule and improve rural connectivity.
The minister also announced that the Public Works Department will adopt a modern drainage system under the new drainage policy. As a result, roads will face less damage during heavy rainfall, while larger culverts will improve water flow.
Kumarsain Development: Community Building and Public Grievances
Vikramaditya Singh assured residents that the government would provide additional funds if required to complete the community building near Darbar Ground.
After the ceremony, he interacted with local residents and listened to their concerns. People raised issues related to roads, drinking water, electricity, healthcare, and education.
Subsequently, the minister instructed officials to resolve these complaints quickly and ensure effective implementation of development works.
Kuldeep Singh Rathore Highlights Government’s Vision
Local MLA Kuldeep Singh Rathore welcomed the minister and thanked residents for their continued support. He said the public thanksgiving event reflected the people’s trust in the government.
Additionally, Rathore highlighted the state’s welfare initiatives and said the government continues to work for every section of society. He added that significant funds from the MLA Local Area Development Fund have supported projects in Kumarsain. Finally, he thanked Vikramaditya Singh for his guidance and continuous support in accelerating regional development.
