Shiyah Panchayat Election Sees Unopposed Victory

Kullu (Kameshwar Sharma): The Shiyah Panchayat Election concluded peacefully after the Assistant Election Officer officially declared all candidates elected unopposed for the posts of Panchayat President, Vice President and ward members.

In the election, Subhadra Devi was elected as Panchayat President. Similarly, Dinesh Sharma became the Vice President.

The elected ward members include Kushal Singh, Veena Devi, Sarita, Nokh Ram and Asha Devi.

Villagers Celebrate Unopposed Victory

After the results, the entire village witnessed a festive atmosphere. Villagers welcomed the newly elected representatives with traditional celebrations, drums and processions.

Moreover, men and women participated enthusiastically in the celebration rally. The procession later reached the local Dev complex, where villagers sought blessings from Devta Jamlu.

The celebrations reflected strong unity and support among villagers during the Shiyah Panchayat Election.

Shiyah Panchayat Election: Newly Elected Pradhan Promises Development

Speaking after her victory, Subhadra Devi said her main goal is the overall development of Shiyah village. She also promised to establish the Panchayat as an ideal village council.

Furthermore, she stated that development work would move forward after consulting residents from every ward. According to her, public participation will remain important in future planning.

She also revealed that Shiyah Panchayat recently separated from Manjhli Panchayat and became an independent Panchayat.

Panchayat Building Construction Becomes Top Priority

Subhadra Devi said the construction of a Panchayat building would become her first priority. In addition, she announced the donation of ten biswa land for the construction project.

The announcement received appreciation from local residents. Villagers believe the Panchayat building will strengthen administrative work and improve local governance.

As a result, the Shiyah Panchayat Election has increased hopes for faster infrastructure development in the village.

Up-Pradhan Focuses on Better Facilities

Up-Pradhan Dinesh Sharma also shared his vision for village development. He said all representatives would work together for the progress of the village and expansion of basic facilities.

Additionally, he highlighted Shiyah village’s strong reputation in the education sector. He expressed confidence that the village could also become a model village with modern facilities and better infrastructure.

He further assured villagers that the Panchayat would focus on public welfare and balanced development.

Residents welcomed the newly elected team and expressed hope for positive changes in the coming years. Many villagers believe the new Panchayat leadership will improve public facilities and solve local issues quickly.
