ASP Shimla Abhishek confirmed that police registered FIR number 50/2026 at Baluganj Police Station under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act.
Initially, police arrested five accused from Haryana — Anjeet, Irfan, Ravikant, Mukesh, and Narendra. During the operation, officers recovered 93.970 grams of heroin (chitta) from their possession.
Later, investigators analyzed digital evidence and communication records. Consequently, they traced the supply chain to Gurmeet alias Billa from Faridkot, Punjab. He used virtual numbers to coordinate drug supply operations.
Acting swiftly, Baluganj Police arrested Gurmeet from Ludhiana on 13 May 2026. This arrest marked a significant success in the NDPS Drug Networks Crushed.
Theog Case Leads to Another Big Arrest
In another case, police registered FIR number 48/26 at Theog Police Station under NDPS Sections 21 and 29. Earlier, officers recovered 8.34 grams of heroin from accused Kuldeep Verma alias Ashu, a resident of Theog.
After that, investigators examined bank transactions and digital footprints. As a result, they identified the main supplier as Shiv Shankar from Bilari, Moradabad (Uttar Pradesh).
Subsequently, Theog Police arrested Shiv Shankar from Chandigarh on 13 May 2026. This operation further strengthened the ongoing NDPS Drug Networks Crushed across multiple states.
