Shimla Police Nab Four With Heroin in Rohru, Drug Trafficking Case Registered

Four Held With Heroin in Shimla’s Rohru Area

Continuing its crackdown against drug trafficking, Shimla district police carried out another successful operation in the Rohru area, arresting four individuals and recovering heroin (commonly known as “chitta”) from a vehicle.

According to official information, on March 30, 2026, Rohru Police Station received credible intelligence regarding suspected drug movement in the area. Acting swiftly on the tip-off, the police team intercepted a suspicious vehicle and conducted a thorough inspection.

During the checking, four occupants were identified as Prince, son of Ramesh Chand, a resident of Sanji; Ankit, son of Bhupinder Chajta, a resident of Chandpur (Hatkoti); Rajneesh, son of Sohan Lal, a resident of VPO Adhal; and Virender, son of Kehar Singh, also a resident of Sanji.

Upon conducting a lawful search, police recovered approximately 4 grams of heroin (chitta) from their possession, leading to the exposure of another drug trafficking case in the region.

A case has been registered at Rohru Police Station on March 30, 2026, under Sections 21, 25, 29, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act. The accused have been bound down under Section 35(3) of the BNSS, and further investigation is underway to identify other individuals linked to the drug supply network.

Shimla Police stated that strict action against narcotics trafficking will continue as part of its ongoing campaign to curb drug abuse in the district.
