Shimla Police Bust Drug Network in Rohru, Three Arrested

Shimla Police Arrest 3 in Rohru Drug Bust Case

Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): In a continued crackdown on drug trafficking, Shimla Police registered a case under FIR No. 46/2026 at Police Station Rohru on April 22, 2026, under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act.

Acting on credible information received from a confidential informant, the police team on routine patrol carried out a swift and planned operation in the Samoli area. In the presence of independent witnesses, a search was conducted inside a room of a building.

During the search, a total of 3.58 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from three individuals present at the spot.

The accused have been identified as Virender Singh (31), resident of Dodra; Akshay Kumar (32), resident of Pandar, PO Jakha; and Krishan Kant (32), resident of Dodra.

A case has been registered against all three accused at Police Station Rohru under Sections 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act. They have also been served notices under Section 35(3) of BNSS.

Police officials stated that further investigation is underway from all possible angles, and efforts are being made to trace the wider network involved in drug trafficking.
