Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): In a continued crackdown against drug trafficking, Shimla Police registered another significant case under FIR No. 32/2026 at Police Station Dhalli on April 23, 2026, under Section 21 of the NDPS Act.
Acting on credible intelligence, the police conducted a raid at a guest house room located near Dhalli Chowk in the presence of independent witnesses. During the search operation, 8.040 grams of heroin (chitta) was recovered from the possession of the accused.
The accused has been identified as Vishal Rana, aged 19 years, son of Sher Singh Rana, resident of Ichewala Road, Firozpur City, District Firozpur (Punjab).
Following the recovery, the accused was immediately arrested on the spot and a case was formally registered against him at Police Station Dhalli.
Police officials stated that further investigation is underway from all possible angles to uncover the broader network involved in drug trafficking and identify other links connected to the case.
