Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): The Shimla Census 2027 training program has started at Bachat Bhawan, Shimla. Authorities organized a three-day training session for field trainers. The second phase took place under the leadership of Additional District Magistrate (Protocol) and District Census Officer Jyoti Rana.

Moreover, officials aim to prepare 26 field trainers for upcoming digital census operations. The Shimla Census 2027 training program focuses on both technical and practical skills.

Officials Conduct Structured Training Sessions

The training started on May 11. It will continue until May 13. Master trainers Anil Kumar and Ramesh Kumar are conducting the sessions.

In addition, District Nodal Officer Ramesh Kumar and other officials attended the program. They ensured smooth execution of the Shimla Census 2027 training program.

India’s First Digital Census Introduced

The Shimla Census 2027 training program introduces a major change. India will conduct its first fully digital census.

Furthermore, citizens can now use the HLO mobile app and web portal www.census.gov.in/se. They will submit their details between June 1 and June 15, 2026.

After that, officials will conduct house listing and housing census from June 16 to July 15, 2026. As a result, the process becomes faster and more transparent.

Jyoti Rana explained the importance of field trainers during the Shimla Census 2027 training program. She said that trainers do more than collect data.

Instead, they help build the foundation of national development planning. Therefore, their role becomes highly important.
