Flood Protection Works Announced by Shahpur MLA

Shahpur (Kameshwar Sharma): Shahpur MLA and Deputy Chief Whip Kewal Singh Pathania announced major development works in the Tatwani region. He said the government will spend around ₹5 crore on flood protection and safety measures.

He shared this information while addressing a public function held at Government Primary School Salwana. The event marked the inauguration of three newly constructed classrooms built at a cost of ₹30 lakh.

New Classrooms Inaugurated at Salwana School

During the event, MLA Kewal Singh Pathania inaugurated three additional classrooms in the school. These rooms were constructed to improve learning facilities for students.

Moreover, the MLA appreciated the efforts of local contributor Captain Singh Guleria, who funded the construction. His wife Reena Guleria also attended the event.

In addition, the MLA honored them with a traditional Chamba shawl as a mark of respect.

Flood Protection Works Worth ₹5 Crore

The MLA announced that the government will carry out extensive flood protection works in the Tatwani area. These works will include retaining walls and flood safety structures.

Additionally, the MLA announced a ₹2.50 lakh retaining wall for the school campus. He also proposed developing an eco-park near Tatwani to promote tourism and environmental conservation.
