SGPC Retired Staff Association Elects New Office Bearers

Amritsar (Rajesh Kumar Sandhu): The Retired Employees Association formed by former employees of the Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) held its general body meeting after two years to elect new office bearers.

During the meeting, Bhupinderpal Singh was unanimously elected as President, while Ranjit Singh was chosen as Senior Vice President. Harbans Singh Malli was elected Vice President, Prof. Sukhdev Singh as General Secretary, and Parminder Singh Dandi as Office Secretary.

Following the elections, the newly elected President Bhupinderpal Singh announced the executive committee members, including Gurdit Singh, Mukhtiar Singh, Harinderpal Singh, Pritam Singh Puri, Sucha Singh, Surinder Singh Haryana, Gurdeep Singh, Lakhwinder Singh Jodhpuri, Milkha Singh, Surinder Pal Singh, Parmjit Singh, Guradarshan Singh Patiala, Jaspal Singh, Baint Singh Anandpur, Sher Singh, and Inderjit Singh.

Additionally, Inderpal Singh and Gopal Singh were appointed to oversee the organization’s accounts. Resham Singh and Amritpal Singh were unanimously selected as Press Secretaries.

Senior members, including former SGPC Secretary Dalmegh Singh, Raghbir Singh, Satbir Singh Dhami, Joginder Singh Adliwal, and Jaswant Singh, were appointed as advisors. Current officials, including the Manager of Sachkhand Sri Harmandir Sahib, the SGPC Secretary, and the Secretary of the Dharam Prachar Committee, will also serve as advisors to the association.

On the occasion, current SGPC Secretary Balwinder Singh Kalwa and OSD to the SGPC President Satbir Singh Dhami were present and assured continued support to the retired employees. They expressed hope that former employees would continue to stand firmly with the SGPC in the future, just as they have done in the past.

The meeting also paid tribute to departed souls with condolence resolutions and recitation of Mool Mantar. Notably, renowned raagis Bhai Jaswant Singh, Mehtab Singh, Harbhajan Singh Rada, Pashwinder Singh, and Ajit Singh Palla were honored during the event.

Several prominent personalities, including Kulwant Singh, Dr. Jaswinder Singh, Raghvir Singh Mand, and Parmjit Singh Bajwa, were also present at the gathering.
