Amritsar (Rajesh Sandhu): Preparations for the Panthic Gathering July 5 have gained momentum across Punjab. The Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee (SGPC) has intensified its outreach campaign. SGPC President Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Takht Sri Damdama Sahib Jathedar Giani Tek Singh met several Sikh leaders personally. They invited them to attend the Panthic gathering on July 5 at Gurdwara Sri Manji Sahib Diwan Hall in Amritsar.
The gathering follows the directions issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. It will focus on the challenges facing the Sikh Panth. Additionally, participants will discuss the community’s future strategy.
SGPC Hands Over Invitation Letters
Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami and Giani Tek Singh visited several Sikh organizations. During the meetings, they handed invitation letters to prominent Sikh leaders. These included Baba Balbir Singh (96th Karori), Baba Ghala Singh Nanaksar Kaleran, Baba Hakam Singh, Resham Singh Barnala, and Baba Jagjit Singh Lopowale.
Meanwhile, the leaders discussed important issues affecting Sikh institutions. They also appealed to every Sikh organization to ensure strong participation in the Panthic Gathering July 5.

The discussions focused on the challenges facing the Sikh community. Furthermore, the leaders reviewed the recent directions issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib. They urged Sikh organizations to remain united.

Later, Advocate Harjinder Singh Dhami addressed a special meeting of the Sant Samaj at Gurdwara Nanakyana Sahib in Sangrur. He said SGPC has started taking the message of Sri Akal Takht Sahib to every village across Punjab.
Moreover, he said every Sikh should respect the authority of Sri Akal Takht Sahib. He urged the community to identify forces working against Sikh institutions. Therefore, Sikhs must respond with unity and determination.
Dhami expressed confidence that the Panthic Gathering July 5 would become a symbol of Sikh unity and collective strength.
Appeal for Maximum Participation
Meanwhile, Jathedar Giani Tek Singh appealed to Sikh organizations across Punjab. He urged them to bring as many devotees as possible to the gathering.
According to him, a strong turnout will demonstrate Panthic unity. It will also help the community respond to the challenges before it.
Saints Extend Their Support
Several saints and religious leaders welcomed the initiative. They also assured SGPC that they would continue to uphold every directive issued by Sri Akal Takht Sahib.
In addition, they promised to attend the Panthic Gathering July 5 with large congregations from their respective institutions. Their participation is expected to strengthen the event further.
Finally, the meeting concluded with a renewed appeal for unity. The Sikh leadership urged the community to participate in large numbers and work together for the Panth’s future.
