Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): Rajni Patil Himachal Congress activities gained momentum on Saturday as All India Congress Committee (AICC) in-charge Rajni Patil urged party leaders to strengthen the organization from the grassroots. According to her, every frontal organization must work with honesty, dedication, and discipline. At the same time, she warned that the party would not tolerate negligence in organizational responsibilities.
Rajni Patil addressed separate meetings with office-bearers of the Women’s Congress, Kisan Congress, Seva Dal, NSUI, Youth Congress, Scheduled Caste Congress, and Minority Department at Rajiv Bhawan in Shimla. During the meetings, she reviewed the performance of every organization. She also discussed fresh strategies to expand the party’s reach across the state.
Executive Committees to Be Formed Without Delay
Rajni Patil directed every frontal organization to form its executive committee as soon as possible. In addition, she asked leaders to speed up the organizational expansion campaign. As a result, the party aims to recruit more active and dedicated workers throughout Himachal Pradesh.
She said committed workers should receive leadership roles. Furthermore, she explained that hardworking members can strengthen the Congress organization and improve public outreach. Therefore, every committee should include workers who can devote enough time to party activities.
Congress Focuses on Early Election Preparations
Rajni Patil asked all office-bearers to work together and follow the directions of the Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee. Meanwhile, she stressed that better coordination would improve the party’s performance at every level.
Moreover, she urged leaders to begin preparations immediately for next year’s Himachal Pradesh Assembly elections. She said early planning, continuous public engagement, and stronger grassroots networks would benefit the party. For this reason, every organization should remain active throughout the year instead of waiting for the election campaign.
Additionally, Rajni Patil instructed all organizations and departments to hold monthly meetings on fixed dates. This way, leaders can review their progress regularly and resolve issues without delay.
Senior Leaders Participate in Organizational Meetings
Several senior Congress leaders attended the meetings. They included Himachal Pradesh Congress Committee President Vinay Kumar, co-incharges Chetan Chauhan and Vidit Chaudhary, and Organization General Secretary Vinod Zinta. Besides them, office-bearers from different frontal organizations also participated in the discussions.
During the meetings, the leaders focused on expanding the party’s organizational network. They also discussed membership drives, coordination among departments, and preparations for the upcoming elections.
PCC Connect Centre Launched in Shimla
Meanwhile, Rajni Patil inaugurated the new PCC Connect Centre at the Pradesh Congress Committee headquarters in Shimla.
She praised the initiative and described the centre as the party’s “third eye.” According to Patil, the facility will monitor party programmes and organizational activities across the state. In addition, it will improve communication, strengthen coordination, and increase accountability within the organization.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Pradesh Congress President Vinay Kumar, Organization General Secretary Vinod Zinta, HIMUDA Vice Chairman Yashwant Chhajta, Congress Vice President Amit Nanda, Secretary Pradeep Surya, PCC Connect Centre in-charge S.K. Sehgal, and several senior Congress leaders.
Congress Intensifies Organizational Drive
Overall, the Congress leadership has started strengthening its organizational structure well ahead of the Assembly elections. At the same time, the party is expanding its membership base and improving coordination among its various wings.
