As part of ongoing efforts to resolve the concerns of the business community, the Punjab State Traders Commission organized a meeting with traders and shopkeepers in Ajnala on Tuesday evening. The meeting witnessed participation from local traders, public representatives, and senior administrative officials in large numbers.
During the interaction, traders raised several issues related to their businesses and operational challenges. Officials assured participants that all legitimate concerns would be addressed in a time-bound manner.
MLA from the Ajnala Assembly constituency, Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal, along with administrative officers and representatives of the District Traders Commission, carefully listened to the problems faced by traders and assured them of prompt solutions.
District Traders Commission Vice Chairman Abhishek Bansal also reaffirmed the government’s commitment, stating that the issues highlighted during the meeting would be resolved at the earliest.
Addressing the gathering, MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab government is continuously working to attract investment and strengthen a business-friendly environment in the state. He emphasized that traders are the backbone of the state’s economy and safeguarding their interests remains a top priority for the government.
He further informed that a three-tier system has been established through the formation of the Traders Commission at constituency, district, and state levels to ensure effective and structured resolution of traders’ grievances.
Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Ajnala Ashok Kumar stated that such meetings aim to strengthen trade and commerce by removing obstacles faced by businesses. He added that local-level issues would be resolved on a priority basis by the district administration, while broader matters would be forwarded to the state level.
Prominent attendees at the meeting included Ramesh Mahajan, Harpreet Sohal, Amit Aul, and Amit Puri, among others.
