Chandigarh: The Punjab SIR 2026 Voter Enumeration Drive has officially started across the state under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise directed by the Election Commission of India. On the first day, as many as 24,453 Booth Level Officers (BLOs) began door-to-door visits to ensure accurate voter data collection.
Moreover, the enumeration phase will continue from June 25 to July 24, 2026. During this period, officials will reach out to more than 2.14 crore voters across Punjab to update and verify voter records.
Large-Scale Door-to-Door Verification Begins
Under the Punjab SIR 2026 Voter Enumeration Drive, BLOs actively started visiting households across urban and rural areas. Their main objective is to distribute and collect enumeration forms while verifying voter details.

Importantly, the Election Commission has ensured that no voter faces inconvenience during the process. If a house is found locked, BLOs will leave the form at the doorstep and mark a follow-up visit date.
