PM Narendra Modi Launches BJP Campaign for 2026 Bengal Polls, Targets Mamata Banerjee

Modi Launches BJP Campaign for Bengal Assembly Polls

Launching the Bharatiya Janata Party’s campaign for the 2026 West Bengal Assembly Elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a massive public rally at Ras Mela Ground in Koch Behar, drawing record public participation.

During his address, the Prime Minister directly targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, describing the state’s political situation as a battle between “fear and trust.” He said West Bengal currently stands at a crossroads where voters must choose between alleged corruption and development-driven governance.

PM Modi spoke extensively on several issues that have dominated Bengal politics in recent years, including the Sandeshkhali violence controversy, alleged syndicate culture, and concerns over demographic changes.

He stated, “Today, Bengal faces two paths. On one side is the fear of corruption, cut money, and loot under the TMC. On the other side is the BJP’s promise of trust, rapid development, and guaranteed rights for every poor citizen.”

Strong Stand on Infiltration and Border Security

Taking an aggressive stance on infiltration, the Prime Minister alleged that illegal immigration threatens Bengal’s identity. He assured supporters that the BJP is committed to strengthening border security and removing infiltrators from the state.

Population Concerns Raised

Referring to demographic changes, PM Modi said many residents fear losing their cultural identity and freedom in their own land. He promised that the BJP would ensure citizens live with dignity and confidence.

Attack on ‘Syndicate Raj’

Criticizing what he called the “syndicate system,” Modi claimed people fear losing property rights and facing extortion. He emphasized that a BJP-led government would guarantee legal ownership of land and permanent housing for the poor.

Emotional Reference to Sandeshkhali Incident

The Prime Minister turned emotional while referring to the Sandeshkhali incident, highlighting alleged atrocities against women. He assured that women’s safety, dignity, and empowerment would remain a priority under BJP governance.

He concluded by stating that the women of Bengal would no longer tolerate injustice and that his government guarantees security and respect for every citizen.
