Plastic Free Himachal Campaign Promotes Women Leaders

Sujanpur (Kameshwar Sharma): The Plastic Free Himachal Campaign received a major boost after the Sarv Kalyankari Trust organized a Women’s Group Felicitation Ceremony in Patlander Gram Panchayat of the Sujanpur Assembly constituency. The event recognized the contribution of women groups while spreading awareness about environmental conservation and reducing single-use plastic.

Moreover, the trust distributed steel plates and other eco-friendly items to encourage people to adopt sustainable alternatives and support the Plastic Free Himachal Campaign.

Trust Recognizes the Contribution of Women

The ceremony witnessed the participation of a large number of women group members.

During the event, Sarv Kalyankari Trust founder and former MLA Rajendra Rana said that women are the true strength of society and the foundation of every family.

He added that empowering women automatically strengthens families, society, and the nation.

Furthermore, he said the trust has been honoring women groups for several years to boost their confidence and encourage leadership.

Trust Highlights 25 Years of Public Service

Addressing the gathering, Trust President Abhishek Rana said the Sarv Kalyankari Trust has served society continuously for nearly 25 years.

During this period, the trust has organized free medical camps, promoted women’s empowerment, supported environmental conservation, and helped needy families.

In addition, he said the organization has become the first social institution in Himachal Pradesh to collaborate with prestigious Japanese organizations and several international institutions for social welfare projects.

He also noted that the trust has received both national and international recognition for its outstanding public service.

Campaign Encourages Plastic-Free Living

Abhishek Rana said the Plastic Free Himachal Campaign is more than an environmental initiative.

Instead, he described it as a commitment to protecting the future of coming generations.

He emphasized that women have the most important role in making the campaign successful because they influence household practices and community participation.

Therefore, he urged every family to reduce the use of single-use plastic and adopt environmentally friendly alternatives.
