No Oil or Gas Shortage in Punjab, No Lockdown Planned: CM Bhagwant Mann

Punjab Has 14-Day Fuel Stock, No Lockdown CM Mann

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has reassured residents that there is no shortage of oil or gas in the state and clarified that no lockdown will be imposed.

Addressing public concerns, the Chief Minister urged people not to panic or pay attention to rumours circulating about fuel scarcity. He emphasized that the situation remains completely normal across Punjab.

Mann stated that the state currently has sufficient fuel reserves, with approximately 12 to 14 days of oil stock available. He added that there is no reason for long queues at petrol pumps and citizens should avoid unnecessary panic buying.

“There are no circumstances that require people to rush to petrol pumps. Punjab has adequate fuel supplies,” the Chief Minister said while appealing to the public to maintain calm.

He further informed that maintaining around two weeks of fuel stock is standard practice and similar reserve levels have existed earlier under normal conditions as well.

The Chief Minister also urged the Central Government to ensure uninterrupted fuel supply to Punjab during the ongoing wheat harvesting season, highlighting the importance of diesel availability for agricultural operations.

The state government has assured continuous monitoring of fuel supply to prevent any disruption during the crucial harvesting period.

Officials reiterated that essential services and daily activities will continue normally, and citizens should rely only on official updates instead of unverified information.
