Sri Amritsar Sahib (Dawarka Nath Rana): The NCC Training Camp Amritsar successfully concluded after a 10-day Combined Annual Training Camp held at the Industrial Training Institute, Ram Tirath. The camp focused on discipline, military training, and personality development of young cadets.
The CATC-03 camp began on 01 May 2026 under the supervision of Colonel PS Riar, Commanding Officer of 24 Punjab Battalion NCC. It officially ended on 10 May 2026 with a closing ceremony and cultural program.
The NCC Training Camp Amritsar witnessed participation from 485 cadets belonging to Senior and Junior Divisions. Cadets came from more than 17 schools and colleges across Amritsar, Gurdaspur, and Tarn Taran districts. ANOs and CTOs from multiple institutions also supported the training activities.
Objective of NCC Training Camp Amritsar
The main goal of the NCC Training Camp Amritsar was to introduce cadets to a disciplined military environment. Trainers focused on developing basic defense-related skills and building strong character among youth.
Cadets received hands-on training in drill, firing techniques, physical fitness, map reading, and distance judgment. The program also emphasized leadership development, communication skills, and teamwork.
Officials said the camp aimed to prepare young cadets for future responsibilities and encourage them to serve the nation with discipline and confidence.

During the NCC Training Camp Amritsar, several expert sessions were organized for cadets. The National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) team trained students on emergency response during natural disasters. They explained safety measures and quick actions during crises.

In addition, Dr. Parminder Singh from CMC Lopoke delivered a lecture on dental hygiene. After the session, cadets underwent dental check-ups to promote health awareness.
