Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): Keval Singh Pathania chaired an important meeting of the Ropeway and Rapid Transport Development Corporation in Shimla to review the progress of the Naddi Zipline Project in Himachal Pradesh. During the meeting, officials discussed departmental approvals and other formalities related to the ambitious adventure tourism project.
Officials also shared detailed updates regarding the current status of the project. According to the department, authorities allotted the Naddi Zipline Project on February 18, 2026.
Joint Inspection Completed for Project Sites
Officials informed the meeting that several departments conducted a joint inspection on May 5, 2026. The inspection focused on the final selection of land for the proposed zipline stations.
Moreover, officers from the Public Works Department, Jal Shakti Department, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, Forest Department, and Revenue Department participated in the process. Concerned Patwaris and Field Kanungos also signed the revenue records.
The progress shows that the Naddi Zipline Project in Himachal Pradesh is moving forward rapidly with support from multiple government departments.
Departments Asked to Speed Up NOCs
During the meeting, officials confirmed that authorities had already approached the concerned departments for No Objection Certificates (NOCs). These departments include the Public Works Department, Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited, and Jal Shakti Department.
Furthermore, officials submitted a request to the Deputy Commissioner Kangra for issuing the Non-Availability Certificate (NAC) related to non-forest land.
After receiving all required documents, authorities will upload the forest land diversion proposal on the Parivesh Portal. Therefore, the next phase of approvals is expected soon.
The Naddi Zipline Project in Himachal Pradesh will move ahead faster once all departmental clearances are completed.
Keval Singh Pathania Issues Important Directions
Keval Singh Pathania directed the Deputy Commissioner Kangra to speed up the process of issuing the NAC certificate. In addition, he instructed all concerned departments to issue pending NOCs without delay.
He also asked the Divisional Forest Officer to complete tree counting and other required formalities quickly. As a result, officials expect the proposal to reach the Parivesh Portal soon.
According to Pathania, the government wants to complete all procedures within the scheduled timeline. Therefore, departments must work in coordination to avoid delays.
Project Expected to Boost Tourism and Jobs
Speaking during the meeting, Keval Singh Pathania said the Naddi Zipline Project in Himachal Pradesh will give a new identity to adventure tourism in the state.
Furthermore, he explained that the project will create employment and self-employment opportunities for local youth. He added that the zipline attraction will bring more tourists to Himachal Pradesh.
According to officials, the project will also strengthen Himachal Pradesh’s position on the national and international tourism map. In addition, the initiative may encourage further investment in adventure tourism projects across the state.
