Grand Ambedkar Jayanti Yatra Held in Himachal’s Nadaun

Nadaun (Hamirpur): A grand Shobha Yatra was organized in the Dhagoh (Kangu) and surrounding areas of the Nadaun Assembly constituency on the occasion of Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Jayanti. The event was jointly organized by the Baba Ravidas Temple Committee Dhagoh-Kangu and the BJP Scheduled Caste Morcha, Nadaun.

The procession witnessed the participation of several prominent leaders and dignitaries. Chief guests included Dr. Kismat Kumar, Kshetriya Karyawah of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (North Zone), Rajya Sabha MP and BJP Himachal Pradesh General Secretary Dr. Sikandar Kumar. Hamirpur MLA Ashish Sharma and Barsar MLA Inder Dutt Lakhanpal also attended as special guests.

Addressing the gathering, speakers highlighted the life and legacy of Dr. Ambedkar, emphasizing his crucial role in framing the Constitution of India and his enduring message of social equality and harmony. The youth were encouraged to follow the ideals of Babasaheb Ambedkar and Guru Ravidas Ji to promote education, awareness, and equality in society.

The Shobha Yatra began from Baba Ravidas Temple Dhagoh and passed through Kangu, Pansai, Dhaneta, Sera Road, Kalur, Nadaun, Bara, Rail, and Rangas before concluding back at Dhagoh. Locals welcomed the procession at various points along the route, creating an atmosphere of devotion and social unity.

Around 1,000 to 1,200 people participated in the event. During the program, meritorious students were honored, and individuals contributing to social service were also felicitated. Several local representatives, social workers, and BJP leaders were present on the occasion.
