A five-day grand religious congregation was organized in Sri Amritsar Sahib to commemorate the 350th martyrdom anniversary of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji. The second annual “Mahan Jap Tap Samagam” was held from March 30 to April 3 under the guidance of Bhai Gurikbal Singh Ji, Bhai Harvinderpal Singh Little, and Bhai Ikvinder Singh.
As part of the commemorative events dedicated to the historic martyrdom centenary, the Bhog ceremony of 31 Sri Guru Granth Sahib Ji Akhand Paths was performed. Daily religious gatherings featuring Katha and Kirtan were organized from 5 PM to 10 PM, drawing large participation from devotees and prominent Sikh preachers.
Renowned Sikh saints from Nanaksar Kaleran, Panthic Kirtani Jathas, and members of various welfare organizations attended the congregation and performed devotional hymns. Bhai Gurikbal Singh Ji, head of Bibi Kaulan Ji Welfare Centre, also participated prominently throughout the event.
Addressing the sangat, Bhai Gurikbal Singh Ji said that young individuals who had unknowingly disrespected Sikh traditions by cutting their hair are being encouraged to return to the Sikh way of life. He announced that youths who re-embrace the Sikh identity would be specially honored during the “Rain Sabai” religious gathering scheduled for the night of April 3.
Organizers appealed to devotees to attend the Rain Sabai along with their families. Continuous Guru Ka Langar was served throughout the event, reflecting the spirit of seva and community participation.
The event aimed to strengthen spiritual awareness, promote Sikh values, and commemorate the supreme sacrifice of Sri Guru Tegh Bahadur Sahib Ji.
