Faridkot – A shocking incident from Dogar Basti area in Faridkot has sparked outrage after allegations surfaced against a woman Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) for brutally mistreating her 5-year-old granddaughter.
According to reports, the accused lady ASI, identified as Sarbjit Kaur posted at Sadar Police Station, allegedly tied the child’s hands and legs and left her outside the house gate in harsh sunlight for several hours.
A video of the incident went viral on social media, prompting immediate action from the police administration. Faridkot SSP Dr. Pragya Jain took serious note of the matter and ordered the immediate suspension of the accused ASI.
Local residents stated that when neighbors learned about the incident, they tried to intervene by knocking on the door, but no one responded. Later, residents attempted to rescue the child, but the woman reportedly took the child back inside the house.
The incident has triggered strong anger among locals, who are demanding strict legal action against the accused officer. Authorities have initiated further investigation into the matter.
