Drunken Youth Attack PCR Police Team in Moga Case

Moga: The Drunken Youth Attack PCR Police case has sparked concern after a group of youths allegedly assaulted a PCR police team that responded to a loud DJ complaint on Sunday night. The attack left a head constable seriously injured and prompted police to register a criminal case against several accused.

The incident took place near Kotkapura Bypass Road in Moga.

Police Responded to DJ Complaint

According to police, Sandeep Singh called the 112 emergency helpline to report loud DJ music and alleged hooliganism in the locality.

Soon afterward, Head Constable Suba Singh and police official Gurpreet Singh reached the spot. They asked the youths to switch off the DJ and maintain public peace.

Accused Allegedly Attacked Police Team

Police said the youths allegedly argued with the officers instead of cooperating. They then allegedly attacked the PCR team with bricks and stones.

As a result, Head Constable Suba Singh suffered serious injuries. Rescue teams shifted him to the Civil Hospital in Moga, where doctors admitted him for treatment.

Meanwhile, other police personnel managed to control the situation and informed senior officers.

Police Register FIR Against Several Accused

Inspector Gurtej Singh of Chadhik Police Station confirmed that police have registered an FIR and started the investigation.

Based on the injured officers’ statements, police booked Niranjan Singh, Mani Kumar, Arjun Kumar, Hartesh, Rakesh Kumar, Kamlesh Kumar, Monu Yadav, and several other accused.

Police invoked multiple provisions of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) in the case.

Investigation Continues

Investigators have begun collecting evidence and identifying everyone involved in the alleged assault.

Meanwhile, police are conducting raids to trace the accused. Officials said further legal action will depend on the findings of the investigation.
