Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a series of development initiatives that are expected to serve as a major growth catalyst for Seraj Assembly Constituency Development. Additionally, ₹20 lakh has been approved for the Balichowki-Khaloa-Sharsh road. The state will also allocate ₹10 lakh each for the Nauna-Bharari road, Khanethi-Khoohan road, and Hanogi-Shaloi-Chhamar road.

₹137.40 Crore Road Widening Project to Transform Connectivity

Enhanced Compensation for Families and Farmers
The government has also increased support for household losses. Homeowners can now receive up to ₹1 lakh for damaged household items. Meanwhile, tenants are eligible for assistance of up to ₹50,000.
Furthermore, families with partially damaged houses can receive financial aid of ₹1 lakh.
To strengthen Seraj Assembly Constituency Development, the government has introduced compensation for damages that previously received little or no support. Farmers can now claim ₹25,000 for polyhouse damage and ₹50,000 for debris or silt removal.
The state has also increased compensation for livestock losses. Farmers receive ₹55,000 for the death of a cow and ₹9,000 for each sheep or goat lost during disasters. In addition, the government provides ₹50,000 for rebuilding damaged cowsheds.
