CM Sukhu Delivers Growth Catalyst for Seraj Assembly Constituency

CM Sukhu Boosts Seraj Assembly Constituency Development

Shimla (Kameshwar Sharma): Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has announced a series of development initiatives that are expected to serve as a major growth catalyst for Seraj Assembly Constituency Development. During a meeting with various delegations from the Seraj Assembly Constituency at his official residence, Oak Over, the Chief Minister discussed infrastructure, disaster relief, and regional development priorities.

The delegations, led by Block Congress President Jagdish Reddy, also invited the Chief Minister to visit the constituency. In response, CM Sukhu reiterated the state government’s commitment to balanced and inclusive growth across all regions of Himachal Pradesh.

Road Projects Receive Major Financial Support

To strengthen Seraj Assembly Constituency Development, the Chief Minister approved funding for several important road projects. The government will provide ₹10 lakh for the Nauna-Chhalaila-Vinidhar road.

Additionally, ₹20 lakh has been approved for the Balichowki-Khaloa-Sharsh road. The state will also allocate ₹10 lakh each for the Nauna-Bharari road, Khanethi-Khoohan road, and Hanogi-Shaloi-Chhamar road.

These projects aim to improve transportation, enhance accessibility, and support economic activities in rural areas. Moreover, better roads will help residents access healthcare, education, and markets more efficiently.

₹137.40 Crore Road Widening Project to Transform Connectivity

A major highlight of the meeting was the approval of ₹137.40 crore for the widening of the Chail-Chowk-Janjehli road. The project covers an 83-kilometer stretch and represents a significant milestone in Seraj Assembly Constituency Development.

The state government prioritized the project under the Central Road and Infrastructure Fund (CRIF). Furthermore, the project gained importance after natural disasters exposed the need for stronger and more resilient transportation networks.

Once completed, the widened road will improve connectivity and encourage tourism, trade, and investment across the region.

Government Strengthens Disaster Relief Measures

CM Sukhu said the Seraj Assembly Constituency suffered extensive damage during recent natural disasters. Therefore, the government introduced several relief measures to support affected families.

The Chief Minister personally visited disaster-hit areas and assessed the damage. As a result, the state government increased financial assistance for families whose homes were completely destroyed.

The relief amount for fully damaged houses has increased from ₹1.30 lakh to ₹7 lakh. Additionally, affected families can receive total assistance of up to ₹8 lakh under various government schemes.

Enhanced Compensation for Families and Farmers

The government has also increased support for household losses. Homeowners can now receive up to ₹1 lakh for damaged household items. Meanwhile, tenants are eligible for assistance of up to ₹50,000.

Furthermore, families with partially damaged houses can receive financial aid of ₹1 lakh.

To strengthen Seraj Assembly Constituency Development, the government has introduced compensation for damages that previously received little or no support. Farmers can now claim ₹25,000 for polyhouse damage and ₹50,000 for debris or silt removal.

The state has also increased compensation for livestock losses. Farmers receive ₹55,000 for the death of a cow and ₹9,000 for each sheep or goat lost during disasters. In addition, the government provides ₹50,000 for rebuilding damaged cowsheds.

Local Leaders Welcome Development Push

Block Congress President Jagdish Reddy thanked the Chief Minister for approving funds for road infrastructure projects. He said the current government has provided unprecedented support for Seraj Assembly Constituency Development.

According to local leaders, the approved projects will improve connectivity, support economic growth, and enhance the quality of life for residents across the constituency.
