Petition Seeks FIR Details from Punjab Police

In his petition, Sandeep Pathak claimed that he learned through media reports and unofficial sources that Punjab Police had registered two cases against him in different districts.

However, despite multiple attempts, he said the police did not provide any official information regarding these FIRs. Therefore, he approached the High Court for transparency and clarity.

BJP Leader Demand for Protection and Transparency

Sandeep Pathak has requested the court to restrain the Punjab government from taking any coercive action, including arrest, until the case is decided.

In addition, he urged the court to direct Punjab Police to disclose complete details of the FIRs, including FIR numbers, dates, concerned police stations, and districts.

Allegation of Missing FIR Information Online

The petitioner also alleged that FIR-related details have not been uploaded on the official Punjab Police website. He argued that such disclosure is mandatory under the rules.

Furthermore, he asked the Punjab government to file a detailed affidavit explaining what cases were registered against him after joining the BJP.

Political Reactions Intensify in Punjab

Following the petition, political discussions have intensified in Punjab. Opposition parties have called the action political vendetta.

However, the Aam Aadmi Party has not issued any official response so far. Meanwhile, the issue continues to gain attention in political circles.

Legal Experts Highlight Transparency Rules

Legal experts state that basic FIR information must remain part of public record. Therefore, authorities are expected to provide details when requested through proper channels.

As a result, the High Court may now seek a formal response from the Punjab government and police in this matter.
