Acting on the directions of Police Commissioner Gurpreet Singh Bhullar, IPS, the Commissionerate Police Amritsar carried out extensive security checks and patrol operations across various sensitive locations in the city to ensure public safety and maintain law and order.
As part of the special drive, local police teams along with the Special Operations Group (SOG) commandos conducted intensified patrolling in both inner-city and outer areas of Amritsar. Special checkpoints were established at multiple locations, where vehicles were thoroughly inspected.
Police personnel also questioned individuals found roaming without valid reasons and carried out detailed verification procedures. Additionally, security checks were conducted at shopping malls and parking areas to prevent any potential unlawful activities.
The police have appealed to the public to immediately report any suspicious person or illegal activity noticed in their locality. Authorities assured that the identity of informants will be kept completely confidential.
The Commissionerate Police Amritsar reiterated its commitment to ensuring the safety and security of citizens and stated that the police force remains alert and operational round the clock for public protection.
