Amritsar (Dawarka Nath Rana): The Central Library of Amritsar Group of Colleges celebrated World Book Day by organizing “Books A-Thon: An Inter-Departmental Quiz Competition,” aimed at promoting reading habits and literary engagement among faculty members.
The event featured an engaging quiz session conducted by a quiz master, who presented brief reviews of nine bestselling books. Based on these reviews, participants were asked a series of thought-provoking questions, making the competition both intellectually stimulating and highly competitive.
Deans and Heads of various departments actively represented their respective faculties, while office representatives also participated enthusiastically, contributing to the vibrant atmosphere of the event.
Dr. Doshi Malhotra from the CCIE office emerged as the winner of the competition, while Dr. Sandeep Kaur from the Department of Computer Science and Engineering secured the runner-up position.
On the occasion, Finance Director Ragini Sharma and Principal Dr. Gaurav Tejpal were also present. They shared insightful thoughts on the importance of books and reading habits for both personal and professional growth.
