Amritsar (Rajesh Sandhu): The Amritsar cross-border arms smuggling module busted case marks a major breakthrough for Punjab Police in its ongoing drive to strengthen law and order in the state. Amritsar Commissionerate Police arrested five accused and recovered eight sophisticated pistols along with live cartridges.

Five Accused Arrested in Major Operation

The arrested accused include Arshdeep Singh alias D (21), Manpreet Singh alias Mann (26), Sukhraj Singh alias Billa (29), Rahul Gill alias Rahul (22), and Arshdeep Singh alias Gagarh (25). Authorities said all accused have previous criminal records involving serious offences.

In addition, cases against them include the Arms Act, NDPS Act, Attempt to Murder, Kidnapping, and Prison Act.

Later, interrogation led police to Sukhraj Singh alias Billa, from whom they recovered one .30 bore Beretta pistol.
