Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu visited the developing “Zubeen Area” near Sonapur, close to Guwahati in Assam, a significant memorial and cultural complex being built in memory of legendary singer Zubeen Garg.
During the visit, the Chief Minister paid tribute to the late artist by lighting a ceremonial lamp and remembering his immense contribution to music and culture. The occasion was marked by emotional moments as attendees also expressed their respect and admiration for the celebrated singer.
Addressing those present, Sukhu said that the investigations conducted so far by the government have led to public dissatisfaction. He noted that people are expecting justice and are waiting for the truth to emerge. Emphasizing the importance of transparency and fairness, he stated that restoring public trust requires an impartial and credible inquiry process.
The Chief Minister further said that the Indian National Congress stands with the people and respects their sentiments. He assured that if his party gets an opportunity to come to power, it will take all necessary steps to ensure justice for the people of Assam and offer a true tribute to the departed soul.
The visit highlighted both cultural remembrance and political commitment, underscoring the significance of Zubeen Garg’s legacy and the public demand for accountability and justice.
