Punjab Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO Launches ₹4 Crore Road Development Projects in Jandiala Guru

₹4 Crore Road Projects Launched in Jandiala Guru, Punjab

Continuing the momentum of infrastructure development in the Jandiala Guru Assembly constituency, Punjab Public Works Minister Harbhajan Singh ETO on Wednesday inaugurated multiple development projects worth ₹4 crore in village Kohat Wind Hinduan.

The projects include the construction of interlocking streets and new roads aimed at improving local connectivity and public convenience. Addressing residents during the inauguration ceremony, the Cabinet Minister stated that the works will be carried out under the Special Assistance Scheme Phase-1 using funds allocated under the 5054 head.

According to officials, the total length of the roads to be constructed will be approximately 10.59 kilometers. The project has already been allotted to the concerned contractor, with a target set to complete the work within 12 months.

Harbhajan Singh ETO further highlighted that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann, the Punjab Government is upgrading various roads across Amritsar district at a cost of ₹400.01 lakh. He added that all link roads in the region are expected to be upgraded within the current year.

The minister emphasized that improved road infrastructure will provide significant relief to commuters, enhance transportation facilities, and help reduce road accidents. Instructions have also been issued to concerned officials to ensure timely completion of the development works.

He further stated that the state government has declared the current year as a “Development Year,” focusing on accelerating infrastructure growth across Punjab.
