Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Gujarat on March 31, 2026, where he will inaugurate major cultural, industrial, and infrastructure projects across the state and address multiple public gatherings.
According to the official schedule, the Prime Minister will begin his visit at around 10 AM by inaugurating the Samrat Samprati Museum in Gandhinagar on the occasion of Mahavir Jayanti. He will also address attendees during the event.
Samrat Samprati Museum Inauguration
The museum, located at Koba Tirth within the Mahavir Jain Aradhana Kendra campus, is named after Samrat Samprati — the grandson of Emperor Ashoka and a revered figure in Jain tradition known for promoting non-violence and spreading Jainism.
The museum highlights the rich historical, cultural, and spiritual legacy of Jainism through seven dedicated wings. It combines traditional exhibits with advanced digital and audio-visual installations to provide an immersive experience for visitors, scholars, and researchers.
The facility houses more than 2,000 rare artefacts, including ancient manuscripts, miniature paintings, silver chariots, coins, intricately crafted stone and metal idols, and historic Jain relics displayed across seven grand galleries. The exhibits offer a chronological insight into the evolution and cultural influence of Jainism over centuries.
Semiconductor Plant Inauguration in Sanand
At approximately 12:45 PM, the Prime Minister will inaugurate the Kaynes Semiconductor Plant in Sanand, Ahmedabad. The project is expected to strengthen India’s semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and boost technological self-reliance under the government’s industrial development initiatives.
PM Modi will also address a public gathering following the inauguration.
₹20,000 Crore Development Projects
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Vav-Tharad, where at around 4 PM, he will lay foundation stones, inaugurate, and dedicate multiple development projects worth over ₹20,000 crore to the nation.
These projects aim to accelerate infrastructure growth, regional connectivity, and economic development across Gujarat.
The visit highlights the government’s continued focus on cultural heritage preservation, advanced manufacturing, and large-scale infrastructure expansion.
